Front Seat Heaters

Hey All,

I have brought my 2015 Tahoe in twice because the front seats don't get that warm regardless of the lo-med-hi setting selected. I can easily wear a pair of gym shorts and leave it on high. The first time I brought it in they told me that some of the heaters were not working and swapped them out for new ones. Luckily, I have the extended warranty so it cost me a $50 deductible.

A friend of mine has the 2015 Silverado and stated that he only runs them on high for a few minutes and then has to run the to the low setting because they get too hot on high.

Before I bring it back in, can anyone chime in with similair counts on this? Maybe someone has a 2015 Tahoe where the seats actually work correctly and can explain what they experience?

I also have a 2015 Tahoe and my seats do not get very warm. I can run them on high all the time if i wanted to. I never took it in because it was out of warranty about 6 months after I bought it. They work but my wifes Toyota will burn your butt if you leave it on high for very long. Maybe it's a 2015 new model issue that they resolved in the later models. I'm curious what others have to say.

I am taking it back in today to have them look at it again. I have an extended warranty so will hopefully get them to fix it right.

One would think the amount of heat given off is subjective as some are more tolerable of heat then others. I wonder if this could be measured with an infrared heat gun?

I have a 2016 Tahoe. This is the 5th vehicle I’ve had with heated seats. These seats are terrible. Only get warm on fairly warm days. And forget them being warm when using remote start. Just wasting gas, vehicle doesn’t even get warm.

just talked to my son who just got a 16 Yukon and says not as warm as older ones

Same with my 13 Tahoe. My 16 Sierra did not get close to how warm these get.

I bought a used 2015 Yukon and dealer told me it was how they are.
I took the seat apart myself and put a new heater element in and now they work fine. Takes a long time for me too need to turn them down, but they do end up pretty hot over a bit of time...

Really? I live in the NE and after remote start my yukon is always warm and after about 10 minutes on high my seats get unbearably warm.
