Does anyone know what the difference is between these two front strut part numbers?

19420492
19420493

They are both listed to fit a 2007 Yukon XL at RA.
I do not think a 2007 Yukon XL Denali had Z95 as an option and only had Z55?

I had a 07 Denali that didn’t have Z95 but it may have been an option. What do your rpo codes say you have? Go to gmpartsdirect and enter your VIN. It’ll give you the right part.

there is no "physical" difference, but there "might be" a electronic difference, there are additional codes shown in the rpo code list in the glove box that tells you the difference
it's like 6le/7le or something of that nature rockauto shows the codes associated with each strut part number you just have to reference those codes to your rpo list, they will be at the bottom of the list in the glove box

Yes but nothing refers to Z95 or Z55
Both part numbers show to fit a 2007 Yukon XL at GMPartsdirect.
I guess im asking 2 things.
Was Z95 an option in 2007 for Yukon's? (If so, then i have the wrong new struts)
Do the above part numbers match Z55 or Z95? I can not find any way to know.

If they are both Z55 shocks then all the codes come down to different dampening, i would guess.

Z55 OR if plausible z95 in either case this is also in the glove rpo list
generally z95 was on the escalades

Let me ask this way, without reading or looking back. It does not matter what they are going on i just need to know if these struts are Z55 or Z95

How can you tell if these struts are Z55 or Z95
19420492
19420493

No, Z95 was not available for 2007 Yukons. Z55 was the only available option for the 2007 Yukons.

As stated above, match up the 3 RPO codes, based upon your VIN. Z55 6** 7**

For my 2007 Yukon XL Denali, the RPO codes are Z55 6JK 7JK, and the front shock part number was 19420493 at the time of purchase 3 years ago.

Perfect! I did not think Z95 was an option for Yukon in 2007.
Here is the reason for needing a specific answer.
The NOS GM struts i bought 25888677(nos number)do not correspond to my code 6JL/7JL and i bought before fully understanding all RPO codes. They NOS number was replaced with the current number 19420492

The number that matches my code is 19420493.
If both numbers are Z55, then i bet they will work fine and im willing to take the chance since Z95 was not an option till later i think 2009?
All online GM parts houses say either number fit, but it is 6JL/7JL that make the difference.

Now you are fully understanding the value of these RPO codes. They are your source for the basics and features that are included in your specific truck. You may find this document of value to you.
