Glad to hear that it doesn't need a bunch of work! I never would've guessed it was just an optical illusion. Toe out will cause similar wear as negative camber as well as more drag. You should get a fraction better MPG with it properly aligned.
I am guessing that the old tires were worn down on the inside and that caused more "lean" and once I put new tires on, I still had the illusion of it. I do have some negative in my camber, but it was still within spec. From what I researched, some negative will give you better handling in hard cornering. Fine with me because my Tahoe is a "Freeway Racer" LOL.
