Just like the title states, just took it off my NBS Yukon Denali. Everything works. The buttons were replaced 2 yrs ago with oem buttons and were more than what i'm selling the unit for. 100 bucks plus shipping

OK probably a dumb question, but what has to be done to a non-nav equipped truck to make this work? I'd assume some sort of nav antenna? And different wiring connectors?

No, You will have to add the antenna if yours didn't come with Nav, but it is easy. You can just slide it in under the dash in front of the radio. The factory one bolts to a brace just beneath the plastic dash cover.

The wiring connectors are the same, so it will just plug in to the same connectors from the existing radio. However, there is a caveat, and it's a big one. Since his was in a Denali it is most likely a LUX Bose system, only Denalis and Escalades got this (and a few Hummer H2s), Tahoes and Yukons got the Premium Bose system. Not all Denalis were LUX, but most were. You can tell if it is by checking the RPO codes, the LUX system is Y91. The issue is that even though the connectors are the same, the LUX system used a different amplifier (under the console) and the wiring between the radio and amp is completely different. Plugging a LUX radio into a non-LUX amp (or vice-versa) will blow the amp.

This is not to say that you can't do the swap, it's just that it's a fair amount of work. You have to swap to a LUX amp and rewire the connectors at the amplifier (just move most of the pins to different cavities), and add a couple of wires. I've done it in my '05 Tahoe and the sound quality improvement was quite noticeable.

BTW Premium and LUX systems both used the same speakers. However, the LUX amp has separate channels for the D-pillar speakers, and the Premium system just tied them to the rear door speakers. So, if you want to get the full effect of the swap you have to run new wires from the amp to the driver's kick panel where GM tied them together at a body harness connector.

Yes, I did the complete conversion including wiring the D-pillar speakers. I was somewhat skeptical that the sound quality difference would be significant, but was pleasantly surprised at how much of a difference it made. There is a great write up on the conversion here:

I don't remember him mentioning running new wires for the D-pillar speakers. I have the full GM service manual set, so I just followed the wiring diagrams for the Y91 option. I didn't do it when I installed the radio and amplifier, so I listened to it with the rear speakers tied together before I ran the wires to separate them. It did improve the sound after I put the D-pillar speakers on their dedicated channels.

BTW it is PNP if the buyer has a Denali or Escalade, except for adding the GPS antenna, but not if it is a Tahoe, Suburban or Yukon.

Another note. If the amp is bought new, it will have to be programmed with a Tech2 before it will work. Also, if it is a used amp, to get the best sound it should be checked to see that it is programmed for your cabin size, e.g. Tahoe vs Suburban vs Silverado. Again, you'll need a Tech2 to do this and change it if it is different.
