put a different gauge cluster in the Yukon and it did the same thing. It must be something in the wiring/sending unit but it all tests out ok .....out of ideas
The fuel level signal travels thru the pcm and a bad fuel pump should have not cause a blown pcm fuse. the pump is controlled by a relay which is controlled by the pcm. It is likely you pcm itself has failed. Use the linked procedure for diagnostics.
fuel pump runs off the pcm b fuse. anyway i got it fixed. the plug on the new oem module was bad. I put the plug from the old module into the new module and everything works.
