I wouldn't want my IP address on a government website to be associated with what I'm driving. Someone might show up at the front door in the middle of the night and say: "Hi. I'm from the federal government and I'm here to help you." as my Tahoe is confiscated and I am assigned a Chevrolet Volt to drive, since I've been using too much gas in my Tahoe.
