The donks and boxes and bubbles come from drug dealers and alike. The point (at least originally) In the hood everybody knows what they're worth so you can be a baller, but if any LE angency is looking at you on paper they just see you drive a 76 cutlass.

If they knew a little something about money laundering they coulda just been driving a benz instead. Anyway its taken on a life of its own and now its just a style.
