what happens if somebody breaks into your vehicle and opens your garage while your sleeping, it would be different if it was a code ,not a one button push to open the door...

If someone broke into my garage they would come face to face with my 200lb Mastiff.. they would probably try leaving the way they got in.

I've got my garage door to where I can shut the power off to it at night and when I'm away so opening it from outside is impossible with any remote!

If someone breaking into your vehicle to open your garage is a concern then lock your garage. Most openers have a LOCK button on the wall transmitter or do it the old fashioned way and lock your garage with the gate lock!

I park my truck in the garage, but this time of year when its this cold out my dogs are also in there lol. Im out in the boonies so not much of a worry for theft.

I haven't had time to tinker with this lately, hoping to get this figured out soon. I might have to just buy a universal remote and try that.

As I stated before, the universal remote may not work. Jump on Amazon and grab the factory replacement remote they are probably $30 or less. What kind of opener do you have? Liftmaster? Genie?

Lift master , no lock button. i guess i could just put a bolt, and nut on the track...
