Hey guys i don't know whats going on with my gas pump but i filled my tank the other day with 40 dollars of regular and went home and woke up the next day to an empty tank with the low fuel indicator on! im guessing its the pump or a friend said it might be the cluster too..is this true? beside that the pump, and i can hear it clearly, is making noises similar to if you were to sip on a drink from a straw that is just about to finish haha thats the best explanation that i can give. I know changing it and swapping the gas pump out for a new one is very pricey, but is this really the case??

So your tank was actually empty or your gauge just read empty? Someone could have stolen your gas. Fuel pump would kind of make your truck sputter. Do you have any more info of what is going on?

The sending unit may be going out..If the gauge in the cluster went out then it wouldnt read at all but since its reading low i bet its the sending unit....The pump itself can still work if the SU is bad..

damn, sounds like it might be the pump if it is sputtering. Just had mine replaced for $800. Took it to the dealer cause I they could get it done the next day and I had to have it then. You could probably find cheaper

shouldnt have to do anything on the inside. siphon the gas, drop the tank, replace the pump and put it back up. Could be mistaken though
