LCD is probably burned out. You can either have a speedo shop replace it or buy a used cluster on ebay to replace it. Just keep in mind if its a used cluster, the mileage wont transfer over and would need to be programmed in.

If you have no luck on craigslist can try digital dash solutions on ebay. http://stores.ebay.com/SPEEDOMETER-SALES-AND-SERVICE?_trksid=p2047675.l2563

A bunch of guys have used them here me included with great results. If you`re good with soldering circuit boards he sells that little PRNDL screen or you can send your cluster in to be repaired or just buy a rebuilt unit. He also sells custom clusters with a trans temperature gauge installed and programmed to work.

I had a guy on Facebook do this to my cluster when it started doing what yours is. He put blue LEDs in there as well.

I had mine rebuilt by these guys:

http://www.circuitboardmedics.com

They also put in green LEDs and installed a trans temp gauge.

My total cost was $280 for the repair. They did it pretty quickly: I shipped it to them on a Tuesday afternoon, they had it by Thursday, rebuilt it on Friday and shipped it back to me. I had it on Monday evening.

Interesting to note that your 2500 does not look like it has the Drivers Information Center (DIC?) I wonder if that's because it was still an option in 2001 or maybe because yours is a 2500 and not a 1500?

Either way, there are fixes out there. I had the same issue: My PRND321 display was unreadable except at night. Now it's nice and bright and I have green LEDs in there too.
