Gauge cluster upgrade w/ trans temp from HD Truck

I picked up an instrument gauge cluster from an 02 HD truck that has the trans temp in the cluster. I wanted to use it in my Tahoe, but it appears I'm out of luck due to the cluster changing in 03. My Tahoe is an 04. Is my assumption correct that 02 cluster does not work in 04 Tahoe? Finding a later year 03+ gauge cluster has been challenging, would like to trade this one if it won't work.

Guy I bought from sells them rebuilt complete no core for 275. Has a bunch. Sells them on ebay. Sell your old non-working core and recoup some of the cash.
