Recently had a gas tank replaced (story in itself) on my 1997 Yukon 2dr. While there, I had a couple other things done/checked. One of which was to replace a O2 sensor that I had a engine light on for, but no symtoms. I had a new sensor on my shelf that I gave the mechanic to throw in, but as it turned out was for the front bank, not the rear.
Once I got the truck back, I noticed after it drove for 2o miles or so, it would start to bog down under load. Would struggle not going up hill. And after extreme struggle the engine light would come on. I thought it might be related to a bad fuel filter and I changed it, but these symptons continued. Trying to get home, going up hill. Engine would bog down to a point of stalling. But once turned off for just a minute or so, would start right back up and go again with considerable less problems untill I had another hill.
Got to check what they put in there. Bad or wrong sensor? The old one, had no symtoms.
P0151 - o2 sensor circuit low voltage (bank 2 sensor 1)
Is this the rear bank, driver or passenger side?
