Hello all and thanks for looking at my thread,

I have an 04 tahoe z71, winter is comming and im interested in lfting my truck and put some nice set of rims and tires im looking for 35" tires and 20s im a noob in suspension so i need some answers..

First of all i dont have too much money so i wanna keep down the costs, also i wanna be able to like take it off road once in a while.. I drive around 50 miles veryday and this will be my daily driver,

Gas milage is one of my main concerns also

To fit 35s how much lift i need??

Body lift or suspension lift??
Do the suspension lift is really worth it?? Wich one is the cheapest but recomended out therre??
How much do shops generally charge for installing a suspension lift and a bodyshop?

Can i keep my stock gear ratio? I heard i need to change gears and stuff..

If so how much changing gears cost?

Finally anyone know any good shop that lift trucks that is not expensive?? Im chicago

Thank u all and sorry for all the questions

First of all welcome to the site. Since you have an NBS Tahoe, check out the pre-2007 section. Once there search because there is a lot of info.

Just my opinion.
- If gas mileage is a main concern do not lift the truck and put bigger tires. It will drop significantly with the mods you want.
- Really need to know your budget then we can give you alternatives.
- What is the height limit? Do you want it to fit into your garage?
- 35s are big tires which will need a proper lift or keys/spacers/body lift.
- Also 35s will really reduce the apparent power. Gears would be recommended but that will be pricey.
- A tune (look up Black Bear) is recommended to correct the spedo, shifts, and gain some power back. Intake and exhaust with this would be a benefit.

Good luck.

You can fit 33s with just keys and spacers. Go to the 2006- Section of this forum and they will be able to provide more details. Are you sure that white Tahoe above has 33s? Those look like 35s.

This section is for 2007+ which are entirely different.
