I just bought a 07 Yukon XL with 72k miles and will keep it til it dies! I was wondering what I could do to make sure it outlives me? I know this question sounds a little dumb but humor me.

Besides regular fluid changes what else has given people luck

Marvel Mystery Oil?
Seafoam?
Full Synthetic?
Royal Purple?
Lucas?
What do you recommend for washing ie, soap, wax, polish, window cleaner?

With this vehicle I am looking for a cruiser, something that can get me from A to B smoothly and look good while doing it. Its my baby and I want to take care of it the right way.

Good fuel. Good oil. Service the transmission, coolant and rear end according to the maintenance II plan.

The rest is actually kind of dumb luck. Drive it smoothly.

Either regular or synthetic oil will do the job. It will just depend on the change intervals. When it comes to cleaning/detailing, Mother's and Meguiars are just some popular brands.

We just traded in an 07 XL with 72k (trouble free) miles. There is a TSB on the tranny out there, Ill see if I can find it. Other than having that looked into, as long as you keep up on the maintenance, you should be golden with it. I actually like the 07 better than our 13!)
