KMeloney - for what's it's worth, I'm on the 2/4 (no spacer) w/ 24s and 305/35s. Links are at 3 in. I didn't cut bump stop brackets and I've never bottomed (or come close from what I've felt). I'm rubbing a bit, but that's my biggest "issue" w/ the current setup.

Thanks Josh! Don't let Tony see this next question... What's your rear fender height, before and after the compressor airs up?

And how would you describe your ride?

Thanks!

I haven't taken a pre air up measurement. The measurements in my post were after backing the car down the driveway and the rear had definitely aired up.
(thread here: http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=37622)

Measurements are just under 36in psgr rear and and about 1/4 in lower than that on the driver's side (little Lean in there).

I could stand to lower mine abt an inch more in the rear, but the ride quality is great, so I may just leave it alone. From what I understand, I could still do that an not be concerned about the bump stop brackets. Not sure how I'd be able to lower it another inch right now either though.

ahhhh man - Tony busted you. I think he's going to shut down until you pull the spacers. Just knock it out.

While Tony is entertaining questions though: Tony - any ideas how I could drop another inch (no more than that) w/ the current setup (2/4 - no spacer on 24s w/ 305/35, links at 3in)?

Tony, Tony, Tony... I KNOW that you think I'm beating a dead horse here, but I'm not questioning your knowledge or experience -- I'm getting other people's input, too. Remember how you started a thread a year or so ago asking everyone to list their tires/ride heights/trim etc? I do. You wanted to compile info and compare. Can't I do that, too?

If you say you "give up" when talking about the ride, that's fine. The fact remains that I get TWO DIFFERENT RIDES WITH THE SAME TIRES AFTER MY TRUCK AIRS UP. So, it's not pertinent that his tires are different than mine. I just want to know how his truck rides, since he also knows if his ride changes after airing up, regardless of the fact that he's never had a ride in my truck. See what I'm saying/asking?

Also, regardless of whether his truck starts at 33" in the rear or 63" in the rear, if his truck is airing up by the end of his driveway, like mine is, then there's a CHANGE IN HEIGHT that i'm looking to determine. Mine is @ 1/2" increase. I'd like to know what his is.

Now that I think about it, you haven't said what YOURS is. Does your truck height increase in the rear each time you start it/drive it for 5 minutes?? Mine does, and I don't want it to. You haven't told me about yours yet, so there's still some info I'm looking for.

Tony, please don't take my questions personally, especially the ones I'm asking to some other folks. I'm just collecting and comparing, and am NOT suggesting that you're wrong or no help. Please understand that. :Handshake:

Oh -- and no, I haven't pulled the spacer yet. :D Haha! BUT I PLAN TO!

Maybe you could pull the spacer TWICE? Haha!

Thanks Josh/Tony.

well wife just got back and I put the 5305 springs back in and said keep these springs in lol.

her nephew had a football game and his friends wanted to go and so did the coach since I took him for a ride in my ctsv a few weeks ago. She had 2 kids on the 3rd row which was prob 380-400 pounds (if its the 2 im thinking then yes) My nephew is 190 in back seat then the blocker was in seat behind my wife and hes a big kid. 6'4 260 pounds then their coach which is prob 200 and my wife which 8 months preggo is 150.

She said rode so nice so pretty much I know when it tows will be fine buttttttttttttttttt F it I ordered some autoride resistors im going to take off the rear shocks and slap in the belltech shocks. That should get me down some.

Sometime the wife really takes the guesswork out of things. Haha

Tony, what, exactly, are autoride resistors? I'm assuming they're resistors (like the ones used on LED tail lights?) that truck the autoride into thinking that it's still hooked up, even through it isn't. Is that correct? I've never heard of them, and wondered if something like that existed. Are they autoride-specific, or just an item applied to the system?

I didn't look too deep, but Googled "autoride resistors," and came up with this:

http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=258

Of course NathanJ now has a truck with autoride, and didn't pull the factory autoride shocks, but it sounds like there isn't an autoride-specific resistor -- just inline resistors added to the wiring...
