Who here has or has heard the Gibson Dual Extreme catback on the 5.3? I'm trying to figure out what route I want to go with my exhaust and was thinking about a muffler swap/add tip or a complete catback. I recently found the Gibson Dual Extreme catback at a very attractive price but wonder if it has that deep low rumble that I'm looking for. I'm not a fan of the raspy exhaust tone and I have kids so I don't want it to be obnoxiously loud.

Generally, "duals" are louder than a single exit..........."duals" after the muffler are quieter, but still louder than a single exit.........
I am sure others will chime in soon..........but Magnaflows (Just the Muffler) are what folks around here are running, and happy with. Corsa is another option if you have a lot of cheese.
Oh and there is a Borla GMPP for like 350.00........that seems really nice.....

i have the gibson with the dual exit behind the passenger rear tire. I've been very happy with it. It's nice and mellow when cruising and get loud, but not crazy loud when you punch it. You will be very pleased with it!
Nice! I saw it a few days ago on Amazon for $260 and thought that was a good deal. While researching it, a day later it went down to $254 and there was only two left. I went to order yesterday and got it for $242, then noticed that a few hours later it jumped back up to $354. I got lucky and found it at the perfect time.
