I'd give the muffler time to break in. Mine is noticeable inside the cab with the windows up, but is pretty mellow. Windows down, or getting on the gas and it has a nice growl. I have the dual sport with the dual swept side exit, and its the full stainless steel system. Im not sure if yours being split rear exit and possibly the aluminized version might make a difference in the sound at all.
