My vehicle is a 2022 LT Tahoe but was given a 2025 LS to drive while mine is in the shop.

Driving this 2025 makes me appreciate the design even more (even though there's definitely things that I wish they designed differently). What's with this huge infotainment system in the 2025s? I mean, I guess it looks cool? I'm not sure it adds anything practical to the vehicle. And they removed the center console "cell phone holder"? New area in front of the cup holders doesn't seem practical at all unless I'm missing something. There's two areas to place things but I'm not sure what exactly it was designed for. Gear shift is no longer on the dash but now it's a lever on the right side of the steering wheel opposite windshield wipers. Don't care for it being there.

But hey, at least it seems like Chevy FINALLY got on board with basic features like adaptive cruise control on even base models. My LT with added technology packages don't even have that.

What's your thoughts on the new interior?

I have a 2024 Tahoe and maybe the same dash/infotainment as your 2022. I like my screen but I think the 2025 is much better as it looks like it is more incorporated into the dash vs the GMC that has the bigger center screen. I haven’t actually seen the 2025 in person but I have rented a Ford Expedition that has the big vertical center screen that is similar to the newer GMC Yukon.

I think the best is the Caddy full OLED screen across the dash, but it is all personal preference.

From my experience, GM has the best resolution for the cameras, no matter what the screen size and orientation.

Agreed. The 360 cams on my 2024 Yukon XL SLT are great. Especially the forward AND backward looking side cams that show the wheels.

The 360 cams on my ‘24 F150 Lariat 502a suck and the side cams only put backward. My 2021 Lariat also had a better resolution back up camera than my ‘24. Ah well.

I specifically purchased a 2024 because I did not want the big screen TV in the dash.

There are a few things the 2025 does slightly edge out on the older models, gauges and touch screen processing power. While I have no idea if you can really do anything great with the gauges in the dash, Oil temp has been added to the 2025 and the gauges have a numeric read out along with the bar graph. The bar graph with no numbers is useless IMHO. But to see the full gauge compliment, I think you have to look down at the "big screen".

The processing power for the newer "big screen" is better. I also like the YouTube capability, but hell, I can watch YouTube on my phone rather than the "big screen" if needed.

One thing I have not confirmed, but it looks like heat/cooling seat choice is limited by the cabin temperature?? I like the option to run the cooling seat when I am on a long drive even in the Winter time once the cabin is warm, not sure you can do this on the 2025??

I guess I didn’t notice since I only had it for a couple days, but you can watch YouTube now on the main screen?

I have 2 neighbors within about 500 feet of me that have 2025's. I know the Denali with the rear seat entertainment has YouTube as an option in the Infotainment system. We played with it and the picture was quite good. I checked and I could not download YouTube from the Play Store on my 2024. Either the 2025 has upgraded processing for YouTube and maybe other Apps and of course YouTube had to be formatted for partial screen on the 2025 so you still had touch controls under the video display.

I have not confirmed that the 2025 without the rear seat entertainment can play YouTube, I assume it can, but would probably want to check before confirming this.

I think the "big screen" are too distracting IMHO, especially when you need to look down to find something while driving, I much prefer buttons and knobs. Even my 2005 Yukon Denali had a touch screen that works quite well. Still to this day, all is good except the date somehow is totally screwed up on the 2005, while it handled Y2K fine, I think someone did not expect it to last 20+ years!!!

Can't wait to find out how much it will cost to replace the "big screen" in the 2025 when something falls forward and cracks the screen!!! The only "big screen" I like is in a home theater.

Yeah I found it to be a little distracting to try to get air controls and everything set using the screen. It seemed like almost everything is now controlled with the screen with very few buttons/knobs. That’s going to be a disaster with accidents and distracted driving. People will spend way too much time trying to adjust air flow when they need to be driving.

I guess it did look cool and all but it just didn’t seem practical and I’m not sure why a ginormous infotainment screen is really needed outside of that. I thought the screen in my ‘22 was about as big as they’d go. Stupid me
