What is the clip on the right side of the glove box suppose to hold?

From what I remember, It didn't look wide enough for a card, but I could be wrong.

My guess is a map and other assorted paper documents that need quick access?

I'm sure very few people still use paper maps these days with the way smart phones are, but back in 1999/2000 when these were first built...
