I am not sure where to put this as the GM 3.25 inch caps go across 3 generations....

I am only making this thread to share my experience..... because these are not really interchangeable.

Here is what I found.

So as everyone here knows I bought 2015 LTZ wheels off of CL and they came with no caps.

These wheels.....

So I figured no worries, I will just take the Z-71 17" wheel caps and put them on my new wheels for a little while till I come across the fancy ones cheaper on Ebay......

After trying to stick it in for a while I gave up.

These are the wheels and caps I am talking about.

Then I ordered plain blank caps off of Ebay and planned to get stickers. Well they would not fit either. After trying to stick them in and hearing creaks I stopped and returned them.

The plain replicas and these look exactly the same.

So then I took off the Yukon XL caps and tried to fit them in the 2015 LTZ wheels..... they fit like a glove and require zero effort. Like a magnet.

So as you can tell there are all 3.25 inch caps..... with very different prongs on the back.

They are not really interchangeable as far as I can tell.

Yes you may be able to Dremel them and make them fit..... but as is.....

Strange. The caps from my nnbs 20's to the 22" '14+ Sierra reps I'm running now both fit perfect with my OEM bowtie caps. They do require some "force" which I'd expect but they fit like a glove.

Maybe I didn't force them in hard enough. I was trying not to break them and lose my 50.00

Lol

Lol...you have to really screw up to break them but you want them snug so they don't fly off when you drive down the road hahaha...

They were creaking really bad..... the tabs also had zero flex or give.

Glad I read this. My 2015+ CK190 rep 22's I have I THINK have the same as my NNBS CK375 rep 22's... weird. The new center caps don't go with the new reps, the old center caps do. WTF?! I guess I could put my all chrome GMC center caps on or possibly get the NNBS CK line of wheels chrome center caps with gmc red lettering?? Thoughts @goodinblack ?

I deal with GM rims all day at work. When I finish balancing them and what not, I put about half of the cap in the center then with a decent amount of force I slam the rest in with my palm. Always go in with one hit.
