Checking back in on this thread I started; to confirm, the 2nd row bench seat is in the vehicle but they told me it wasn't functioning properly and wasn't safe to use so they ordered a new seat (the larger driver's side of the bench).
About a week after I sent the email to the
[email protected] email address, I got an email response stating I would hear back from a "senior service advisor" within 2-3 days and that email also gave me a service request number and included the 1-800-222-1020 number. I tried calling the number for a few days and eventually got a hold of my advisor who said the part should come this month. She didn't sound very convincing, so I raised a stink about it and my dealer called back yesterday to say they heard from GM and the part should be in this week.
I also called the dealer a few days ago to tell them I was going to come in and get my vehicle, just to take the broken seat out and I could use the 3rd row and one remaining 2nd row seat for the kids. They told me they could not release the vehicle to me without the seat as it's a "safety" issue. I argued that if the seat isn't there and one can't sit in it, how is that a safety issue? Anyway, I was preparing to drive over there to speak with the manager in person and demand the vehicle I paid for, but I guess at this point I'll see if the seat comes in this week like they say it will.
