GM Discount for Friends

As a GM employee, I can offer 1 person a month a Discount for Friends from GM. This discount isn't a rebate or cash, but a guaranteed purchase price that GM hopes is below market pricing. But it might not be. Especially late in the model year, like we are now. I actively look to help people get into GM products, because I think we build great cars and trucks. I have coworkers that will likely help me out as well should more than one person like the Discount for Friends. I ran a price quote for another member yesterday. 75k MSRP and the Discount for Friends price was just under $69k after the $1000 Bonus cash GM currently offers. Not guaranteed to be a better deal than you might negotiate with your dealer. This employee code can be used as a haggling tool. I told them that I have a code and got a substantial discount but never even gave them the code. Also remember the current months discounts are subtracted AFTER the employee price. They only told me that the current cash back offer would be deducted after taxes.

Is this discount an addition discount on top of what the dealer has already discounted and what GMs rebates are? Or would this cross out some of the those discounts?

It's the same as Supplier Pricing. Late in the model year, the dealer's price may be the same or lower than Supplier Pricing.

This is an awfully nice offer your making. I have a 2017 Yukon XL Denali on order, my first GM vehicle in quite a number of years. I have an agreement with dealer for 500 over invoice. Does this discount get you at or below invoice or am I better off with my current agreement?
