GM engine in Chevy Express

Learned something new today about GM engine options. My BIL bought a new 3/4 ton service vehicle that he told me was a 6.6ltr - I was sure that was a diesel engine BUT turns out is gas. In stock form, it makes about 400hp/465tq - sleeper power for an engine swap in something lighter than a tank! Something to share that I just learned!

I was thinking something like a muscle car swap or the like. At some point, there will be acres of them in salvage yards.

I drive one with a 6.0 fully loaded and it hauls some ass for a cinder block shape of a vehicle. I that 6.6 is probably a bad ass upgrade.

The 6.6 is an Upsized LT for the truck/van 2500 /3500 market. Ford has 7.3 gas motor too/

I went to an RV show today and noticed that all of the motorhomes I saw with the Ford chassis now have the 7.3 L in them instead of the V10.

Ford finally killed the triton V10 6.8L not too long ago, and the 7.3 was it's replacement. Funny part is now, Ford created a 6.8 V8 that debuts soon. It seems the Ford mod engines are history! (Except for the Coyote)

If I were in the market for a new tow vehicle right now, it would be a Ford F-350 with the 7.3 gasser, single rear wheel.

6.6l gas engine, about the same horses but 47 more torques than my 6.2l. More cubes usually does that. It has the same bore size, just a 6mm longer stroke.
