Thanks for the heads up. I just checked my VIN on the Chevy Owner Center and it looks like mine is effected.

A bit bummed as I'm already scheduled to bring in my truck tomorrow morning for a tire rotation and oil change but that is through the express service area of the dealership so I doubt I can get the recall taken care of then. Guess I'll have to schedule another appointment for this.

I got the notice for my LTZ about 3 weeks ago.

Basically said, the Airbag needs to be replaced and my local dealer will notify me when they have the parts in stock

That sounds like a different recall program as this one talks about refreshing the SDM to ensure the frontal airbags deploy. No mention of replacing airbags.

We're scheduled in on Tuesday. Getting this done before 3.6 million people get their letters and race for the dealership. :)

I was at the dealership this morning getting an oil change. They offered to do the recall work but it would have been another two hour wait as they were so backed up and I didn't have the time.

They said they were trying to take care of all the ones of the lot as well as all the ones customers were dropping off.

I'm now scheduled for it to be done two weeks from now. They did say it will take about 45-60 minutes to do.
