Talking about peeling door handles, I had to have two of my door handles replaced because they broke and almost fell off when I tried to open the doors. Plus I had to have two of the door lock actuators replaced because they stopped unlocking the doors. GM needs to get their act together. I love their products and the styling but come on with the quality.

Damn. This is a disappointing thread to read. I was hoping the NNBS would be excellent quality. I'm die hard GM fan and have lots a high mileage GM's and rarely have problems, I could give multiple examples. Although these items that are being discussed are body parts and not drivetrain parts, I still think GM has the most reliable powertrain out there. The LS engines and GM's auto trans are amazing. God I hope they're not cutting corners to save money; more than usual at least. Don't wanna be on par with Dodge........
Ever notice how fast Rams rust? Its amazing.

And btw, someone else nailed it, Ford was in the same boat as every other manufacturer several years ago. They just happened to secure huge private loans leveraging the whole company before the recession hit. That's the only reason they didn't need the government.
