Ford is going to sink? I love Chevrolet with all I am, but Ford is doing just fine. Ford is much, much more of a power worldwide than GM is.

so I took delivery of my 2012 Tahoe the first of June. Well at a lil over 3k miles; I was 2 hrs from home and the A/C line going into the accumulator came loose. now I understand things happen but really. then I noticed that the chrome on one of the interior door handles was peeling. now I wouldn’t really be bother buy it except; when I had my 2010 Silverado it had a lot of problems to. I think GM really needs to step there game up.

on another note; when you guys have you vehicle at the dealership for work do they normally wash it?

The interior door handles are a recall and will be replaced with different ones. Surprising to me that you still have this crap on your 2012.

I feel that the quality and workmanship on my NBS truck is way better then on the NNBS. My wifes Burb has spent more time in the shop in the last three month then my NBS Yukon has all its life. It is VERY disappointing.

My dealer does wash the truck every time it is there, no questions asked and they do a pretty darn good job at it as well.

They still haven't gotten the peeling door handles right? Come on GM this is old news. But that and a cracked dash is the only thing that has gone bad to my 07 Yukon and it has 88K now.
As to Ford sinking I wouldn't think so I like Ford to and to tell you the truth my 07 F150 has more BALLS than the Yukon hands down.

I don't see Ford going down anytime soon. The Virginia State Police has ordered more than 100 Taurus's for their new cars. Imo, it's a shame Chevy would not come down a little more in price. I hears the VSP really wanted to get their hands on the Caprice because of its rwd.

As for how Ford managed to do well without the government. That's easy. They suffered the same financial toll GM 2 years earlier. The banks didn't freeze loans at that time. The financial meltdown happened after and GM was forced to go to the government for help.

Do not ever let the dealer wash your car. Time before last, when I got my black 08 Denali back from the dealer (8th time in the shop in the last year and a half) the paint had swirl marks over the entire car. I am so F'n upset at the dealership and service folks. After the paint started pealing off my front bumper the dealership agreed to re-paint the front bumper. Now it the front bumper looks real bad and my entire Yukon has has over spray on it (all because of some back yard hack mobile spray paint company who painted it in the back lot of the dealership).

No one should ever go to, give money too, or use for any reason the Vacaville GMC Buick dealership. They will lie to you and forget they ever talked to you.

Sorry about your bad experience.

I have a Service Advisor Buddy here at Performance Chevrolet in Sacramento and I had NEVER had a problem. NOT with them washing my trucks, nor with any of their service.

I guess you just need to find the right dealership and people you can trust.

Not exactly sure where on the West Cost you are located at, but here in Northen CALI I VERY SELDOM see a Dodge or a Chevy, all others are FORDS, mostly Crown Vics. That goes for the CHP, POLICE and the SHERIFF's Department.
