@Mechanic421 , I tow 6,000lbs of sea Ray speed boat behind my 2006 Denali XL, it's a half ton. And it pulls it with no problems.

Not all of the tahoes and yukons came stock with all the tow options from the factory. The 4.8L V8s did not come with factory installed tow packages, or trans cooler.

My 03 Tahoe originally came with the 4.8, came from the factory with a trans cooler and 3.73 rear.

I have 05 Denali xl also and I pull a 7 by 16 trailer . But wish I had 2500 .You probably haven't pulled your boat up some mountain yet? 4l65e has too small of a converter!

I pulled our camper 7 hours last weekend. 6400 dry, probably close to 7 loaded. Tahoe didn't bat an eye at it. We towed the ozark area, which is far from flat ground towing.

@MSDENEEN , if it has a trans collier stock, it'll be mounted in between the grill piece and the radiator. Like at @Red Rocket said, the factory one is pretty small. I upgraded mine to the tricolor 40k unit and it's awesome. Check out the first page of my build thread for a couple photos of the cooler.
