GMT900 front bumper trimming

I've already trimmed the bumper support bracket for more clearance with the wheel well liner, but I think I'm going to also need to trim a bit of the bumper itself even after the lifts installed.



Anyone have pics or tips for how they did this? I like when it's hard to tell if trimming was done, so any lessons learned would be appreciated!

Look at page 18-19 for details on how to trim the bumper forward. You can special order the brackets from summit for $40.

Found it in another thread

I wouldn't run a 3.5 level without a diff drop. It's already at bad angles with 2.5 and no lift UCAs. You need to do a small norcal mod and trim the bumper brace bracket behind the front side of liner. Cut the corner and use a L bracket on the brace to pull the liner forward. Refer to pro comp instructions on bracket and google small or large norcal mod. Also trim front valance to point where it hides the bumper tabs.

Not having any luck finding the brackets yet, but can at least use this as a guideline to get me rolling, then make my own if i can't order a set. 1.3" should give me plenty of clearance where I need it, so I'll taper that back then clean it up at some point.



Edit: found the brackets on Summit, $25 shipped. Just need to take the dash out of the part numbers (EXP-903575 And EXP-903576)

won't be here in time for lift install this weekend, so I'll either to a basic trim job and clean up later, or if everything goes smooth I'll make my own. Feeling much better now!!

Glad you found it thought I linked the instructions but guess I didn't my bad. Yes get those parts and trim corner forward then pull liner up. Remove lower valance completely and trim it to barely cover the bumper tabs. I traced the backside with a sharpie then cut with dremel and sanded smooth.
