My Tahoe has 152k miles. Looking at records I believe the Tahoe had the trans serviced at 95k miles at a GM dealership. The receipt is hard to read so I don't know what they did exactly and this is before I owned the Tahoe.
When I take my Tahoe to the local trans shop what should I tell them regarding the service? I do want them to drop the pan and install a new filter.
I believe looking at records the rear diff was serviced at 95k miles also. I'm not 100% sure though that's why I feel I should have the fluid changed. My Tahoe is a 2001 so it has the drain and fill holes on the rear diff. Is it necessary to remove the cover or can I just drain and re-fill? What's the going rate for a shop to do this?
Again, Tahoe is running fine *knocks on wood*, but want to have some preventable maintenance done.
