I recently purchased a 2015 Denali. The seats, mirrors and pedals revert to some obligatory position whenever I exit the vehicle. Every time I get in the Denali, I have to press and hold down the "1" to get it back to my preferences. (I have both the "1" and "exit" buttons programmed to my preferences) It's a small inconvenience having to push it every time I get in, no big deal. My main concern is wear and tear on the motors and more importantly, the mirrors moving in freezing temps when there may be ice on/around them is never a good idea.

This is the only vehicle out of the three that I own(ed) with presets that you have to do this with and I'm wondering if it is just the way these Yukons are and everyone has to do it and learn to live with it, or do I have a unique situation that I need to look into?

This is the third time I've posted regarding this and have gotten no responses. I'm just looking for a quick "Yes I have to do this too." or "Nope...this doesn't happen to me." Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Not sure if they are the same but my '15 Tahoe holds my seat position when I get in and out. I have the memory set for 1 and 2 but I have the "easy exit" setting turned off when I get out and I do not have it set to fold the mirrors automatically. All those setting are programmable in the display on mine. Maybe that helps?

Mine is programmed to fold the mirrors only if I hold the lock button on the key fob.

Easy Exit and Easy Recall can be turned on and off. On my '09, I unlock or remote start with my FOB and everything moves back. I get in, sit down, put the key in and then my settings move into place. Turn the truck off, everything moves back. You control these functions through your DIC.

All these things are mentioned beginning on page 67 of the 2017 owner's manual.

I'll add that the first remote programmed to the truck aligns with #1 on the memory and the 2nd with #2. Maybe you are using the 3rd remote?

Sometimes I get in and nothing happens and just press the button and then fine again. Happened 2-3 times since I bought it.

Thanks!! I'll look deeper into the settings menu.

I have the easy exit button programmed to the same setting as my number one. I also turned off the easy exit option in the menu. The seats still revert back to some random position. I'm going to try programming the number 2 the same and see what happens!

Iirc Easy exit is only for getting out when seat is in a foward position, memory seat recall can be turned off in dic which is programmed to remotes. Set settings in dic to off, put your seat, mirrors and pedals in your position then press and hold 1 until it beeps twice. Do the same for your wife or whoever and press and hold 2 until it beeps twice. If the memory sseat recall is off in the dic then your seat will stay in position until you quick press(not hold) #1 or #2.
Easy exit can stay on, all it dies is put the seat as far back as possible to help you exit the vehicle... doesn't move mirrors. If you use a different key fob each time and the memory seat recall is on in the dic your seats, mirrors and pedals will move according to what that particular remote is set to.

I know I'm NBS, but i can set my easy exit wherever I want. I can turn it on/off in the dic.
