I just picked up a set of CK916s, so now I'm looking for a set of tires to go along with them. I know Nitto 420s are popular along with the stock Bridgestones, but was curious what others are running.

I won't be running them in winter at all, so snow performance isnt on the list. Probably going to run 285/45/22 or 305/40/22.

What I am looking for is a tire that:

1.) Offers curb protection for the wheel
2.) Rides smooth and quiet
3.) Is good in the rain

Anyone using the Nitto 421q? Looks fairly new on discount tire direct.

TIA

I actually had the Nitto 420's and after 5k miles I got rid of them. Got extremely loud.

The best 305/40/22 I've run so far are the Goodyear Fortera.

I run Nexen Roadian HP's on my dually. I really like them. Plus they are high load tires. Haven't really put a ton of miles on them yet- but I plan to run them on my Avalanche when I get bigger rims.

If you want tread life the stock Bridgestones are great.

I've got the Nitto NT420s on my esky and I don't find them loud one bit. I love them. The tread pattern is sick and I find that they grip the road prety well.

I have the nitto 421q. It's a newer tire. No noise and supposed to be longer tread life than the bridgestones. I got them from discount tire direct. I would recommend them. Really rough roads in ny this winter and they held up great. The Side wall is kind of boring though.

I run Falken Ziex S/TZ04 285/45r22 on my Duramax and like them.

They handle good for day to day driving, seem to be wearing well and give me good traction for what I use them for.

Do you have any pictures of them? I really think this is the tire I am going to get.

Thanks!
