IM NEW TO THIS FORUM I OWN A 2008 LTZ TAHOE BLK ON BLK FULLY LOADED ALL OPTIONS . I HAVE A QUESTION MY AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON AND MY DASH JUST READS SERVICE AIR BAG? ANY IDEAS ?:biggun:

Probably take it to the dealer? I don't mess with that stuff. Don't need one accidentally blowing up on you.

Could be a bad sensor on the vehicle.

Was it previously in a wreck?

Take it to the dealer or autoshop and they can read the codes and tell you exactly whats wrong. maybe a plug came undone or a bad sensor. goodluck

BTW, turn off the CAPS. Caps means your YELLING! thanks

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue. I agree with the other users that you should visit your local dealership for assistance. Have you been into the dealership yet for this issue?

Yea if you donot play around with cars alot don't mess with the airbag system. They are very expensive if you blow a bag. I had a airbag light on my dailydriver(2005 ford excape) for awhile. I traced it down about a month ago to a loose crash sensor under the grille. The sensor is self ground on the escape.

Welcome. Sensors dont cost nearly as much as Bags.
