IM NEW TO THIS FORUM I OWN A 2008 LTZ TAHOE BLK ON BLK FULLY LOADED ALL OPTIONS . I HAVE A QUESTION MY AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON AND MY DASH JUST READS SERVICE AIR BAG? ANY IDEAS ?

Probably take it to the dealer? I don't mess with that stuff. Don't need one accidentally blowing up on you.

Could be a bad sensor on the vehicle.

Was it previously in a wreck?

Take it to the dealer or autoshop and they can read the codes and tell you exactly whats wrong. maybe a plug came undone or a bad sensor. goodluck

Yea if you donot play around with cars alot don't mess with the airbag system. They are very expensive if you blow a bag. I had a airbag light on my dailydriver(2005 ford excape) for awhile. I traced it down about a month ago to a loose crash sensor under the grille. The sensor is self ground on the escape.
