Good Gears for rebuild??

Guys as you know Im rebuilding my front/back gears with 456s..also throwin in a TruTrac locker. Are G2 gears good? I know richmonds and superiors are but what about the G2s? I got a guy I no at 4wheelparts.com that will throw me a nice deal on the gears/install kits/locker..talk to me

No idea. I am running yukon gears...4.56. You willbeveryhappy with the ratio.

G2 - no, atleast i wouldnt.
and are you getting a locker? or do you mean posi ?

stay away from the G2's atleast for the rear.

first set they put on my truck didn't mesh right, second set i burnt up within 50 miles... turned the diff fluid to water, and f-up my E-locker. rear now has yukons, and no problems with them since.

front still has G2's in it. but hoping they will be gone with a SAS next year some time.

yukon gears? were did you get em? Ive heard good/bad bout the G2s so Im skeptical. What about superiors or Richmonds.....

did 4wheel parts give you the new gears free? I no g2s have a limited lifetime warranty...Anyone had good luck with em?

yep another great addition to what 4wp has had to fix more than once for selling crap products (that or not being able to install them properly) tried to blame it on my stock rear end that only had almost NO WEAR on the original gears after 170,000 miles....

had to pay the difference between the G2's and the Yukon's of course.
