G2 gears are fine when setup correctly. I've had less issues with G2s in 10 bolts than richmonds or superiors but it really depends, some of the 8.5" 10 bolts don't like to setup and whine a bit with the higher ratios regardless of manufacturer. I've never had an issue with yukons in 10 bolts but I saw a few sets of yukon dana 44s go out as well as a ring gear on a ford 9". I wouldn't hesitate to use G2 gears on my own truck especially 4.56s and lower, just depends on what you're comfortable spending. Oh and yukons only have a 1 year warranty whereas the G2s carry a lifetime.
