This one is a Duralast. The last one was made by NSA (the last one was under warranty but unfortunately its through a local shop 550 miles away, which doesn't help me get the truck running for tomorrow's jobs). Engine is grounded directly to battery from what I can see (ground cable runs from front right of engine block to negative terminal). It looks fine and feels tight. I see another ground strap attached to the body-frame, and one that goes from frame up a metal heat shield tube next to the exhaust manifold (near starter). I assume the other end must attach to the engine somewhere but I can't see it. The frame end connection is tight. Ground straps look fine.

I had a similar problem last year in my Kon. Went thru about 3 starters in 12 months then 2 in 2 months and the problem wound up being a messed up flywheel. If you change the starter again do a fly wheel inspection and see if anything looks funny.
