Yup, I thought the only purpose of rain guards was for smokers. That was clue #1 my Yukon was owned by a smoker, #2 was the tiny burn holes behind the drivers seat and #3 was the smoke stained headliner (which is nearly gone at this point).

That was the only thing I didn't like about the one I just bought. Definitely driven by a smoker. I've used two odor killers and treated the vents so far. I'll know how much better it is next sunny day. I've got one small burn in the passenger seat but am going with the katzkins this year so it wasn't a deal breaker. The smell of the fresh leather ought to really kill any remaining smoke odor as well.

I had a German in my HyHoe once ... I took up smoking just to get rid of the judgmental smell. High horses are stinky. :)

This may explain why you had a German in the HyHoe only ONCE.

Have you figured out yet whom to call to put those in channel Rain Guards on your truck?

I smoke, but I'm making a concentrated effort to not smoke in this truck. I'm fine for normal commute driving, it's Saturday errands and girls nights that are going to kill me. I had been slowly weaning myself off of not smoking in the last one, but 5 years of doing whatever I wanted in it, added up in the end. When I transferred all my junk to the new truck, after driving it all day, the old one reeked.

I'm curious to see what the new one smells like once we start getting hot again.

I'm still undecided, but leaning towards Nali rims, with grille, handles and moulding. However, I have to deal with the critics in the peanut gallery weighing in with their opinions. He seems to think I need to stay as far away from chrome as possible. Someone always has a damn opinion.

Nice truck! I got an 07 Denali with 58k miles for $24k. Should have the BB tune shortly. I also swapped the rear emblems for ones that were more symmetrical and it looks ten times better IMO. Looking forward to see what mods you do to it.

So far just a K&N, with a Flowmaster 50. I've noticed a small difference in pickup and it's louder, of course.

Thanks, I think I got a pretty good deal, aside from the random ass noise, she's pretty perfect.
