As some of you probably know, I recently purchased an 07 LTZ, needless to say it came with the Factory type Goodyear LS2 Tires...
In short I hated the stock tires, without going into detail they were noisy, as has been noted several times before...
I was pondering between the Bridgestone Duelers, Contental and some Cooper tires which were all around $150 each... The Michelin tires were an extra $50, and at first I really did not want to pay the extra $200 for a set of tires if I did not need to...
After doing a bunch of research and pondering I finally realized that although the Michelin's were a 70K tire, most of the others were a shorter 50K or 60K rating, and on top of that most of them were an B rating on the temperature or the tire ware.
I am very pleased with the purchase. The first thing I will note is 1) I do not have to play my music as loud... it was so bad that when I turned off the car I could feel my ear adjust because of the volume of the radio to enjoy the music. Now I do not hear the road noise from my tires, but rather I can hear the road noise of other people's tires...
Ultimately, if you really want to keep your Truck, I would highly recommend paying the extra, if you can afford it.
