Got the P2135 code

truck went into limp mode this morning. Had On Star run a diagnostic and they pulled the P2135 code. Hoping this is an easy/inexpensive fix. Happened on Monday as well but the truck cleared the code itself yesterday. Oddest part is if I keep the hood closed the truck stays in limp mode. If I open the hood and start it it runs normal. I was able to drive it about 15 miles home Monday and drive it 30+ miles yesterday. Any ideas?

Could be faulty accelerator pedal position sensor

Turns out it needed a new throttle body which Chevy has extended the warranty on so it was a free fix.
