Does anybody know a good way to get this mount off without hurting the dash finish? It's foam tape. What type of solvent can be used on the dash? What type of finish is on the dash? Paint, vinyl, or just solid molded plastic? Thanks.

Also, I have 3M wheel, adhesive remover, goo gone and several other things. Just wondering if anyone has first hand knowledge before I attempt using any of them.

I've used goo gone on a dash but not on my tahoe. It worked great, cleaned the goo gone off with soap and water mix afterwards but don't have any first hand knowledge with these dashboards.

I would try taking a piece of fishing line and working it underneath the mount. pull the line back and forth like a saw and see if that will get it off. then you will just be left the adhesive. it's kind of like debadging your truck.

The adhesive left underneath is what I'm more worried about. I don't want to ruin the dash with whatever I use to get that off. But you're right, the fishing line should work well for getting the plastic off. Especially after a day in the 95 degree sun :)

if its a double sided sticky tape like a 3M, just roll your thumb over it and it will come off. You might have a sore thumb afterward!

I know about the sore thumbs for sure. I debadged my dodge before I got the 3m wheel using the thumb method :)
