Hi all. Just found this place, actually pretty new to these vehicles. We just bought our 00 Tahoe a couple months ago. It's a GREAT machine! Fits all the kiddos and runs like a champ! The past 2 days the air pump has been refusing to stop running, no matter how I plead with it. After some reading on these forums, I have looked for a relay, there is only an empty spot in the engine compartment fuse box, with no terminals installed i.e; it never had one). I have checked for leaks in the lines, I didn't see or feel any air blowing but did find two spots in the line that had tape over them. One for sure has a rather large hole under it, the other is at the back of the manifold where the hose splits (this one does not have an obvious hole under the tape), still, I didn't find any major leaks, I got my hands good and wet and didn't feel any air movement (I did these tests with the motor off and only the air pump running, so there wouldn't be interference). My next move, I guess, is going to be to seal these spots up. What else could I check? Thanks in advance. Glad I found this place too, I love this truck and want to take the best possible care of it.

I'd go to GM and order the new air lines. They where around 30 to 50 if I remember.. You could have other issues but this would be a good start.

The pump could also be bad as it could turn on but not produce very much air, sounds like what is going on to me.
