Picked up the heads Monday a week ago. The Cometic .045" head gaskets were delivered the Saturday prior.

They're actually really smooth. The camera exaggerates the cut grain.

Been too busy to make any progress. I did bolt a head down with nine of the old bolts- three at each end and center, on an original stock gasket to try to measure for pushrods. It was late and things weren't adding up, so I left it and haven't had a chance to get back to it. After pushrods are ordered, I'll clay a chamber to check PTV clearance. Finding modeling clay has proven to be a task at this time. I'll probably end up ordering from Amazon.

Yeah umm, im one of those morons that saves oem parts to put back on in case i sell it.... but then sell the vehicle and still have the oem parts sitting in my garage ..... i can sell you the oem tail lights/door moldings/badges/chrome tag lights/lock closeout off my ‘01 hoe if ya want...or you can wait a few years for me to sell the ‘13 and ill gladly sell you the grille... sorry bud
