Any ideas for a gun mount in the tahoe. Driver side area or center console. Hand gun obviously. I have a glock 19 and a 21 I ride with and I'd like some ideas on where to stash em in case needed but not alarmingly visible. Pics would be great ;-)

That's interesting. Something I'll check into for sure. I kind of wanna attach a holster to under the dash like a trailer brake or cb would be. This way it's hidden but ready.

also Jotto sells really nice consoles and holster type doo dads

EDIT: youll have to unlock the console every time you drive it, that way if you need your gun asap you dont have to try and fiddle with the key.. gets pretty annoying, ive resorted to just carrying it on my side the whole time.. Except watch leather seats, since the gun will tend to wear the leather really fast..

How comfortable/uncomfortable is to have your firearm on you while you drive? I'll be concealing a XD Sub Compact .40 with a In the Waist Holster when I get my permit, but I'm wondering on how driving will work

purple i use a belly band iwb and driving is no problem with my glock 30 its all about where you wear it 3:30 seems to be best for me

to the OP cheaper then dirt sells a rubber covered magnet built to be screwd anywhere on your car and will hold your glock super secure.....or you can always toss the ashtray out and just shove it in there

You get pretty used to it, but im starting not to wear my seat belt anymore since the gun is harder to get to with it on. If im going for a long drive ill just put my gun on the console/in the console.

Cops can be assholes though if you keep the gun in the glovebox or console if you have people in your car without a ccw. Just be aware what your doing. Havnt gotten pulled over yet with my ccw license and dont plan on it either! im sure the cop will shit a brick once i say the word gun :shooter:

Purple I drive with mine on me mostly. And it never bothers me. IWB about 4 o'clock.

Atomic I'm in Missouri. We are as free as anyone to have a gun wherever. It's wonderful. But I agree with you. My seatbelt makes it hard to get to sometimes. I also twist a lot since my son is behind me in a car seat. So I'd rather know the gun is mounted under the dash pointed at the ground while I'm doing that twisting. But also still accessible.
