I have a 03' burb that has a hard shift from first to second at slow rpm but it's fine when at a fast rpm. I read a few things about the bands need to be adjusted some say fluid flush and filter change. Anyone have this issue and fixed it?

I think I have a similar problem. With mine going from 1st to 2nd the revs drop off and the throttle stops working and if I take my foot off the gas for 2 seconds it shifts to second and it's fine after that. It doesn't jerk or shift hard. I don't have a clue what it is yet especially since I have no trans error codes.

could be signs of a tourqe converter failing but Trans issues are difficult to diagnose over the internet . Either of you have no codes?

Hey I think I might be having the same problem with my 06 Tahoe it's sound like the revs drop off (like a stick shift that need to change to the next gears) shift from 1st to 2nd gear then it sounds fine once in 2nd gear & going faster, I also don't have any warning signs either.... I don't know where to start????

Had issue with hard 1-2 shift when hot ...tranny warmed up and over 100 ambient. This happened intermittently for a half year before finally got tcc slip code. Apparently there was enough wear in the valve body that I was getting full pressure shifts at low speeds, but hard accel didn't feel the hard shift. When I got the tcc code I just opted to replace e entire tranny rather than just valve body, torque converter...I figured if those were going @ 147k miles everything else was probably worn enough to crap out soon. The cheapest option is to replace fluid/filter & see if helps.
