yeah times are tough. Just for money saving, do you ever have any take off kits that you sell?

It's really a shame that you aren't around Northern Jersey if you currently have keys and spacers, but want to switch to a lowering kit. Could throw both of them up on a lift and just do a swap of the keys and spacers for a Belltech 2/3 Spindle kit.

I have an 04 Z71 tahoe and I want to drop it but I am just concerned how it may look.
I am changing the huge roof rack with slim rails hopefully escalade ones.
I don't know if the steps should come off, but there are plastic moldings that are molded to the step brackets.

Well I guess my main question would be, is there anyone that has dropped one and if so what setup have you done? Also any pics would be great.

Thanks in advance..

If you take you steps and mouldings off I will buy from you, previous owner took my steps and step moulding off so I was going to replace with N-fabs but if I can buy the oem z71 steps and moulding ill jump on it

I have an 02 Z71 that I lowered.

Eibach 2/3 kit $255 shipped from tirerack
Actual drop 3.25-3.5 rear I adjusted to 1.75 front. I also had no problems getting it aligned with all stock equipment. I have not changed my rear shock location either. Ride in rear is stiff since I have not cut off the factory bump stops until I get an air helper kit installed.

Reason to lower Z71: Wanted to drop a tahoe and a Z71 was the first that came up while shopping with all my requirements. Besides the flares look good with wider wheels!

As for the naysayers about lowering 4wd trucks, I drove my lowered 2wd silverado more offroad places than 98% of Z71s I see driving around. I also just took my "lowered" Z71 hunting and had no issues hauling all my stuff through about 6-8 Inches of snow with mud in spots. Also Ground clearance (other than the step bars) was not affected at all since the pumpkin is the limiting factor!!

Before and After pics
