Has anyone else's rear wiper arm severed its own hose before?

I bought a Dorman replacement rear wiper arm about a year ago and it severed it's own hose a few months ago. I didn't want to put a Dorman one on but I didn't really have a choice. It has split cleanly in half. Purely out of curiosity, am I the only one this has happened to?

First time that I've heard about this issue.

A few years ago, I replaced mine with one from RockAuto.com, which I believe was a GM wiper arm. It's still working today.

Unfortunately I could not find a GM one on rock auto otherwise I would have done that one instead.

I’ll betcha the engineer at Dorman who came up the rear wiper that severs the wash solution tube probably just introduced the wash tube repair kit too.

Whuddah you want to bet that same guy runs the new product development department now.

I mostly use the window washers for guys in their spotless black vehicles tailgating. It’s like watching a cat trying to get out of the lawn sprinklers.
