Has anyone ever installed a 4L80e in a 2007 or newer tahoe/yukon?

It's been done but its not necessarily an easy swap. I've researched it, as I'm on my third 4L70 in my Avalanche since I installed an LS3. It requires use of a TCM from a newer 4L80 equipped vehicle (like an express van), repinning of the harness, and fabrication of a new crossmember. I think there's an input speed sensor issue as well. There's a thread out there doing the swap in a 2wd truck, I've never seen one done for 4wd, so bolting up the transfer case could be where it gets interesting. It would certainly require custom driveshafts. Add all that together with the moderate HP the 4L80 will eat up and I think I'll just build a stronger 4L70. I'll see if I can find the link to the 2WD truck build.

I would appreciate it. I have a 4L60e that's starting to slip and has almost 100k miles on it. I don't want to rebuild it nor do I want another 4L60. I'm on a budget.
I wanted to get a 6l80e but it is more money and read it is real finiky with having to program it. If I'm wrong about this please explain.
