Okay so details... 2003 Hoe LT 4x4 5.3 etc etc..

When I hit the blinker switch (going left only) I get hazards. The length the hazards are on varies every time and usually when it is colder temperatures it happens. It has become a problem when driving in heavy traffic this winter and a new switch from the dealer is a lot of $$$$. Does anyone know the workings of that switch so maybe I can get the parts myself to same some $$$$. Or if it is something else that someone has experienced and fixed. Been dealing with it for a few years now. If you need more info let me know I was never good at explaining things.

I have to find them by me, I have to look the part number and see if I can find one. Do you know of a Pick-n-Pull in NJ. None near me that I know of.

Here is your fix. :)

http://www.autozone.com/autozone/pa...Identifier=193140_0_0_&oemPartNumber=15764135

I've replaced 3 of these. IIRC, it is almost always only when the left signal is on. Its located directly behind the fuse box near the drivers feet firewall area.

Before you spend the money on that, you may want to take the time to have someone hit all your brakes/signals while you walk around the vehicle. Look for dimming/odd lights (reverse lights coming on, etc). It could be a bad ground. If you have had any trailer plugs installed lately or you see any hanging below the rear shredded up or anything, I'd take a look at that also.

Most likely, however, it is the turn signal flasher. If you Google it, GM posted a service bulletin for this IIRC. You may also try removing it and cleaning the contacts on it and trying it again. Probably the cheapest place to find it would be Rockauto.com

Hope that fixes your problem.

The GM Part number for the Multi-switch is 12450067 Labor and Part is $410 estimated. I need my windshield sealed first as I think it's leaking has something to do with it. I bookmarked that part also thanks Cowboy. Just found the part on Amazon too 104 bucks!

I will bring that part number to the dealer and see what they say too, most of the work gets done there so if it breaks I can yell at someone. I found the part on amazon for about $40 That is similar to what Cowboy sent me just cheaper than Auto Zone. Thanks guys. This problem has been haunting me like a phantom except it is not most of the time only like 20% but the past few months it has been back with a vengeance.

For not being able to find it at first I found this...

http://ryoogle.com/LED/tahoe-hyper-flash-fix.php

That gave me an idea how how to find it since reading descriptions didn't help. The link is apparently for LED signals but the location is the same. Also I was able to get the new one in P# 10383321 old was 157564135.. I will let you know how it turns out.
