Nice man... Im in the process of doing a 3/5 drop. Im at a 2/4 now, but I am gonna order some belltech struts once im done my other project. Keep us posted on your exhaust decision. I chopped off my resonator and did a turn down. It looks so much cleaner out back, than that huge bulky muffler back there. However, id like some more rumble out of it.

No excessive scraping with the drop. However, im sure there will be once I go lower.. Its all good though, I am a very alert driver and have been driving slammed cars for the past 10 years

Nice pics, thx for sharing. How'd you service the Volvo, no room to slide under a jack :)
I like the 2/4 stance, 3/5 would be nice too.
How is the ride compared to stock? is it overly stiff and bumpy? What size wheels are you running?
The stock rims are growing on me, besides I just put new tires on them and will have to wait longer to change rims.
A cheap esthetic mod I’m looking at is tinting the head and tail lights. Getting the pre-cut films or the GTS covers, so I can remove if needed, I like the blacked out look.

Ride is good! No complaints. And if I am being honest, I think it rides just as good as stock if not better. It is on 24" wheels. My tails used to be tinted when I had chrome wheels, but I needed something to break up the all black, so I opted for red. Let me know if you are interested, I tint for guys on this forum:)

Volant CAI MPG Update

Well it’s been 1 week since the CAI install, and it looks like I lost what mpg I gained from the headers. The only thing I can think is that more air = more fuel. So with the stock restrictive intake, no more than normal air was passing the MAF, now with the Volant, no restrictions from the straight tube = more air entering the intake. Even though this is a negative, my mpg is no less then before I started.... yet.... I can always put the stock intake back on if I feel my mpg is suffering too much. There is a noticeable difference in performance, but I have not let this effect my mpg testing. Honestly from just this week, I would recommend putting a K&N drop-in, in the stock air box, it's a lot cheaper.
Does anyone else have a CAI and noticed a different good or bad?

Do yourself a favor the exhast should be 3.5 inches like on my escalade. I did the magnaflwo 3.5 inch in/out muffler and resonator delete and truck doesnt have headers yet but sounds great. ONe step up over stock on tone and no drone and deff increase in power. If you look at my escalade build thread you can see how the maganflow is str8 thru and the stock one is very restrictive.

Thx NORCAL,
That's what the muffler shops were recommending.

So.... This is the second week with the Volant and calculated MPG is 22+, AVG Econ is also 22 MPG. I don't know what happened the first week, but if the numbers stay here I'll be happy.

I installed a free flowing muffler 2 weeks ago, I asked for Magnaflow, but I think they installed a Flowmaster. The sound on start-up and in V8 mode is great, but..... In cylinder deact mode, there is the dreaded drone. I also am getting what I think is valve train noise from the headers. First thought was exhaust leak (still could be) all manifold bolts are tight, and it’s the same tinny metal sound on both sides, more noticeable in 4 cyl mode. I have looked at numerous forums with people experiencing similar issues, and some of the responses are that it’s just typical header noise. So, my question to everyone, does anyone have a NON Hybrid newer Chevy with cylinder deact, and headers? Did you have exhaust leaks, or above normal noise?
