I have seen $100 dollar headers for my K5 blazer from Summit Racing, but the cheapest they have for the Tahoe is $200. Anyone try the ones off eBay? Are they any good?

Planning on doing a true dual exhaust at some point, but figure this would add a little growl to the exhaust

and was wondering, if these actually do increase flow, how would a cheap ebay intake with a premium filter do for this? With a custom built box?

okay, well just for the purpose of debate and info, whats the difference between shorties and long tubes? I had long tubes on my 85 blazer, and I liked em, but like I said, you could basically buy them for 100 bucks...

And for that, how much of a difference is there between an 85 350 with a carburetor and the 96 with a TBI when it comes to the manifolds? Is it simply for the O2 sensors? or are they spaced differently?

i should clarify, my Blazer had an older motor in it

Just save your money and get long tube headers. The power gains are MUCH better with long tubes. Shorty's are like our stock manifolds, you wont notice much of a difference, other than maybe a crappy sound.

If you're going to go threw with the work/effort of installing headers, do it right the first time. And invest in a good manufacture

Intake, Ignition, Full Exhaust, Stall, Shift Kit, Tune. You'll be set for the most part. Or just LQ4 swap or something

Also, I'd never buy "performance" parts off ebay. My headlights are from ebay, and I'm not overly crazy about the quality of them.

The difference in the block is probably just the cut out for the mechanical fuel pump. The problem with the fit of '85 headers on a '96 would be the location of parts on the '96 and the route the exhaust takes. Vehicle dimensions are different.

I will be pulling my motor out of my 96 and will more than likely do a 383 stroker. I hear that installing headers while the motor is still in is very tough, with me having my motor out, would it be possible to install the headers and motor at the same time and it just slip right in?
