I want to complete my exhaust setup and get the OBX Long Tube Headers along with the Kooks Y-Pipe. I already have the Gibson Dual Sport Exhaust 'Cat-Back' system.

I wanted to know if I should expect a lot of cabin 'drone' with these upgrades? I couldn't find a video on YouTube or a local guy with headers and exhaust to compare.

Any advice or information would be helpful.

It's really going to come down to the muffler. Since headers, y-pipe, & exhaust tend to smooth out exhaust flow (aka reduced bottlenecking) you should be ok. I dunno about Gibson & drone.

You may end up tinkering with muffler choice to tune the sound or drop the drone.

I love my Gibson because not many people have it, it's affordable, and there isn't a lot of drone at all.

Anything will have a bit of drone with longtubes. I have the dynomax vt muffler and have to say I'm quite pleased with the result, best of both worlds :imo:

Can I install Kooks Y-Pipe on OEM headers and Gibson catback exhaust? Or do I have to have long tubes in order for the Y-Pipe to work?

The LTs will definitely make your exhaust louder, and if you had even the slightest amount of drone, it will magnify. When I was running a Magnaflow catback, it was great, until the LTs went in. I promptly switched to Corsa.
